EventX Lead Finder Data Overview

EventX Lead Finder Data Overview

How Is EventX Data Sourced and Collected?

EventX guarantee that we will never sell the data of attendees provided by the organizer. EventX data isn't single-sourced, there are 2 main ways in which EventX collects data:
  1. Public Data Crawling: EventX utilizes exclusive algorithms to systematically search the internet on a large scale, extract information from public websites, and create a comprehensive database of individuals and companies.
  2. Third Party Data Provider: EventX processes more than 100 million records every month from meticulously screened third-party data providers. These collaborations enhance EventX's already precise and expanding database by adding valuable verified data.
This will also help on how you reply your client enquiries via cold email marketing, such as how you get my email address, etc.

How does EventX Ensure Data is Accurate?

  1. EventX’s Insight and Analysis System
    1. EventX utilizes advanced algorithms and proprietary machine-learning models to validate business information from data source. For instance, EventX will identify valid emails within catch-all domains, verify data in real-time, predict email bounces, and automatically clean invalid email address. EventX's big data technology identifies the most current information for each Business Card while eliminating any obsolete data from the system simultaneously.
  2. Third Parties Review
    1. We thoroughly validate the accuracy of vendor data both before and during our collaboration. This includes assessing the security measures of each vendor and the data transfer process. We guarantee the vendors we collaborated guarantee the legality and compliance of the data provided, adhering to data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA. Our ongoing efforts focus on maintaining data compliance by regularly updating contracts to align with relevant laws and regulations.

How Can a User Claim or Remove Their Profile in the EventX Database?

  1.  EventX takes opt-out requests and regulations seriously and has implemented the following practices:
    1. There will be a compulsory unsubscribe button in each email. The current unsubscribe button unsubscribed in event level/ organisation level, the contact will no longer receive email from your current event/ organisation.
    2. Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to opt out of “sales” of their business information. Similarly, under the GDPR (and other European data protection laws), individuals in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland have the right to object to our processing of their business data. Users may exercise those rights by sending request to data-removal@eventx.io. We will honor user request by removing the profile from our services, and we will retain the email address that enter solely for purposes of storing and respecting the opt-out preference.

How to determine if EventX Service/ Your Company Comply to Data Privacy Laws?

  1. Definition of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
    1.  The GDPR is relevant to the processing of personal data when one of the following conditions is met: (1) your company is "established" within the EU, (2) you process data of individuals in the EU while offering goods or services to them, or (3) you engage in "monitoring" the behavior of individuals in the EU (GDPR, Article 3).
    2. The term "established" implies conducting business in the EU through a branch or subsidiary, although the GDPR clarifies that it is a substantial definition rather than a formal one (GDPR, Recital 22). If you have employees or contractors working for you in the EU, it is advisable to conduct a thorough analysis in this regard.
    3. If you are definitively not established in the EU, the next step is to determine whether you offer goods or services to individuals (data subjects) in the EU. According to the plain language of the GDPR, it is unlikely to apply to business-to-business (B2B) marketing activities because the offer is directed at the employer, not the employee (GDPR, Article 3(2)(a)). B2B companies typically provide goods and services to other companies rather than directly targeting individual consumers. However, this aspect can benefit from further guidance as it falls within a gray area.
    4. Lastly, the GDPR applies if you engage in the "monitoring" of individuals in the EU, which involves tracking their online activities to make decisions or predict preferences, behaviors, and attitudes (GDPR, Recital 24). If your processing activities involve solely business contact data for reaching out to prospects, it is unlikely to be considered monitoring. However, if you employ more advanced techniques to predict specific actions based on an individual's internet activity, a closer examination of this aspect is necessary.
    5. It is essential to consult legal experts or seek further guidance to ensure a comprehensive understanding of how the GDPR applies to your specific situation.
  2. EventX's compliance on data privacy law
    1. EventX only signed with third party vendors who adhering to data privacy laws (both GDPR and CCPA)
    2. EventX personal data is stored securely and is protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage.
    3. You can target your use of the EventX dataset to certain locales, industries, people, or businesses where you have a legitimate interest in reaching out and where your reach-outs are compliant with local law.
    4. If you hope to avoid completely any legal issues associated with your company, it is advisable to use a separate email domain and this will outsource the sending of promotional emails to external legal entities. For further details, please contact our sales representative.
