Multiple registration using the same email address
We have launched an enhancement on the registration flow. For all the in-person event created after Nov 8, 2023, these changes will be applied.
Use Case
- A company admin or secretary registers multiple entry for the event using same email address and would like to assign the ticket for the colleagues later on.
Prerequisite
- in-person event only, the virtual and hybrid event will be supported soon.
- Public event only, not support by-invitation only eve
Major Changes
- Event Register button will be separated with Login button
- Same email address can register to the event more than once. It will be treated as separate records on the attendee list
- For the later registration, the ticket owner will need to assign the extra check-in code to others
Limitation
- RSVP form & Registration widget are not supported in this flow.

Step 1: Registration
- Go to the event landing page
- Submit registration form, we allow to re-use the same email address to fulfill the registration,
- eg. use event@eventx.io to register 3 attendees record in the same event, each registration record will treat as different records and contain a unique check-in QR code, the 1st record will bind to the event@eventx.io account, and he'll be able to assign the extra tickets to others through the confirmation email
Step 2: Receive the confirmation email with unique QR code
- After registration, confirmation email will forward to the attendee with the email address submit by the registration form. The magic link will be embed into the "enter event" button, click to go to the event page with login status
- For the 3 registration with same email address, each email will contains the unique QR code
- Each confirmation email will contains a unique check-in code, you can save for on-site check-in or if you are assisting others to do the registration, simply share them the check-in code you receive.
