Attending the event with a magic link allows attendees to enter the event directly without a password sign up but by just clicking a unique link from the provided email.

Important Reminder:

• Attendees can only enter the event 15 minutes before the event starts.
• If the event required attendees to select a ticket type and fill in the registration form, attendees will need to submit the registration for attending the event after retrieving the magic link.
• Magic link is only attached to the confirmation email but not attached to 24 hours prior event reminder email and 1-hour prior event reminder email.
• Attendees may find the event confirmation by clicking the action button to access the event site via the magic link
• If attendees couldn't find the confirmation email, please retrieve the magic link from the event landing page
• Magic link feature is available on Enterprise Plan only.

Step 1: The attendees will receive an event invitation email from the organizer.

Step 2: By Clicking the action button from the email, it will link to the event landing directly. 

Step 3: Click the "Join Now" button on the event landing page, the attendee will need to fill in the email address (must insert the invited email address) to retrieve the magic link.

Step 4: An email with the magic link will be sent to the attendees' provided email. By Clicking the action button from the email, the attendee will be directed to the event landing page.

Step 5: There are two scenarios in attending a public event with magic link

• The event has not yet started
• During the event live period

Scenario 1:The event has not yet started 

(i) Event without registration

Click the "Join Now" button on the event landing page.

After clicking the "Join Now" button, there will be a pop up message that says "You have registered for the event" while the "Enter Event" Button will be greyed out. Attendees can only access the event site 15 minutes before the event start.

The attendee will immediately receive an event confirmation email with the action button which canlink the attendee to the event site directly during the event live.

(ii) Event requires ticketing or registration

Click the "Join Now" button on the event landing page. The registration window will pop up. 

After the attendee selects the ticketing or submits the registration, there will be a pop up messagesaying "You have registered for the event" while the "Enter Event" Button will be greyed out. Attendees can only access the event site 15 minutes before the event start.

The attendee will immediately receive an event confirmation email with the action button which directs attendees to the event site during the live event. There will be a ticket summary in the email if attendees selected a ticket for event registration.

Scenario 2: During the event live period 

(i) Event without registration

By Clicking the action button from the email with magic link, the attendee will be directed to the event landing page. Click the "Enter Event" button on the event landing page.

It will direct the attendee to the event site.

The attendee will immediately receive an event confirmation email with the action button which can link the attendee to the event site during the live event.

(ii) Event requires ticketing or registration

By Clicking the action button from the email with magic link, the attendee will be directed to the event landing page. Click the "Join Now" button on the landing page. The registration window will pop up.

After submitting the registration, it will direct the attendee to the event site.

The attendee will immediately receive an event confirmation email with the action button which can link to the event site during the live event. There will be a ticket summary in the email if attendees selected a ticket for event registration.

An alternative way to attend an event for the attendee who does not wish to receive an email with a magic link:

Attendees may click the "Log in Now " button from the "Retrieve Magic Link" pop up window on the event landing page, please refer to Attend an invitation-only event by account login

When trying to retrieve a magic link using uninvited email address. Pop up window would show the message You are not on the invitation list.
