Exporting a HAR File for Troubleshooting

A HAR (HTTP Archive) file records detailed information about the network requests made by a website or web application. HAR files can be useful for diagnosing performance or functionality issues with a web-based platform. By capturing data about request URLs, response statuses, page load times and more, HAR files provide insights that help technical teams troubleshoot problems.
To export a HAR file to assist our support team in troubleshooting an issue you are experiencing, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Chrome DevTools in your Chrome browser. You can do this by right-clicking on a page and selecting "Inspect" or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+I (Windows) or Cmd+Option+I (Mac).
  2. Go to the Network tab in the DevTools. This will show you detailed information about the network requests made by the current web page.
  3. Check the "Preserve Log" option at the top of the DevTools window. This will ensure the current network requests are recorded and not cleared when you navigate to a new page.
  4. Refresh the web page to reload all assets while "Preserve Log" is checked. All network requests required to load the page will now be shown in the Network tab and logged for export.
  5. Click the menu in the top right corner of the DevTools window and select "Save as HAR with Content". This will export the current network log as a HAR file with full response content data.
  6. Save the HAR file to your computer and attach it to your support request or email it to our team at support@eventx.io. Be sure to also include details about the issue you are experiencing and when exactly it occurs.
  7. Our support engineers can then analyze the HAR file to gain valuable insights into how the web platform is functioning. The HAR file, combined with details you provide, will assist us in diagnosing problems and getting you a solution as quickly as possible.

Please let us know if you have any questions or require assistance with exporting and sharing a HAR file. We are happy to help in any way we can to resolve issues you are seeing as rapidly and efficiently as possible.
