Livestreaming Tools

Recommendations

  1. For events that require professional shooting for live sessions, it is recommended to engage with a production house. EventX will then discuss with the production house regarding the steps to connect the camera input to our platform. 

Youtube

To use Youtube as a streaming tool:

  1. Click on Youtube > Input URL > Click Create


Note: When using third-party tools, the start session button does not apply. Using youtube, the video will become immediately available and accessible once you add and save the URL.

Zoom (Beta testing)

To use Zoom as your streaming tool:

  1. Connect Zoom > Click on Youtube > Input URL > Click Create
How to connect Zoom: 
1. Navigate to “Integrations” tab 
2. Click on “Connect” button on the Zoom item 
3. You will be redirected to Zoom app connect page 
4. Review the app permissions and click “Allow” 
5. After successfully connected, you can use the Zoom integration from the webinar schedule page 
6. For the de-authorization, you can navigate back to step 2 and click on “Disconnect” button on the Zoom item

How to disconnect Zoom: 
1. Navigate to “Integrations” tab 
2. Click on “disonnect” button on the Zoom item

Once attendee clicks on watch now they will see this page. Attendee clicks Join now.

Note: When using third-party tools, the start session button does not apply. Using Zoom, the session starts after the host opens and starts the Zoom session.

Vimeo

To use Vimeo as your streaming tool:

  1. Select Vimeo > Input URL > Click Create

Dacast

To use Dacast as your streaming tool:

  1. Select Dacast > Input URL > Click Create

After attendee clicks on Watch now under Schedule Page, they will immediately be brought to the LIVE webinar session running via Dacast.

Microsoft Teams

To use Microsoft Teams as your streaming tool:

  1. Select Microsoft Teams > Input URL > Click Create



On the attendee's side, they can click this button to join the Microsoft Teams Webinar. Note that the livestream will be viewed outside of EventX when using Microsoft Teams. It will either be viewed on a new tab or on the Microsoft Teams app.
