Registration Form - Separate First Name And Last Name

Registration Form - Separate First Name And Last Name

The registration form currently allows registrants to input their first name and last name separately when filling up the registration form. By default, a registration form will be attached to a newly created event and will have the first and last name fields separated. To know more about how to create a registration form, please refer to this article.

On the portal

  1. Once an event is created, the registration form will consist of the following fields. Note that the first and last name fields are compulsory.

On the registration form

  1. Attendees will be able to fill in the first and last name separately. Both mentioned fields have a limit of 100 letters each.

On the attendee list

  1. The Name (full name), First Name and Last Name of the attendee will be displayed on the attendee list.

  2. The format of the Name (full name):
    1. For names input in English, the Name (full name) format will be displayed as "First Name + Last Name". For example:
      First Name = Yujin
      Last Name = Koh
      Name = Yujin Koh
    2. For names input in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Japanese, the Name (full name) format will be displayed as "Last Name + First Name". For example:
      First Name = 雅秀
      Last Name = 王
      Name = 王雅秀

Limitation

  1. When importing the attendees as invited status, the organizer will be able to input the attendee name in the Excel file. However, the attendee will be able to fill up the registration form to add their first and last name. If the attendee fills in different names from the organizer, the attendee list Name (full name) field will not be updated automatically. Instead, organizers would have to manually update it by clicking on the Edit icon.

  2. When importing attendees to skip registration, the organizer must ensure to fill up all the fields related to the attendee name (Name, First Name, Last Name) as the attendee list will follow the organizer's input. If the Name field is left blank in the Excel sheet, the attendee First Name and Last Name will not be automatically combined.
  3. The RSVP import CSV template does not support separated first and last name at the moment.

  4. Special roles such as hosts, speakers, booth exhibitors and booth representatives will need to fill up their full name instead of separating the first and last name in the registration form.

  5. As of 8/12/2023, the separate first and last name feature does not apply to walk-in form registration, lead capture and lead finder features.
