Sending WhatsApp Custom Messages

Organizers can now personalize and send custom messages to selected attendees.

Steps

  1. Click on WhatsApp > Manual WhatsApp > Create Campaign



  2. Input the Campaign Name and select the template that has been created for you by your project manager.


  3. For a better experience, your project manager can now create WhatsApp message templates with merge tags, making it easy to map them to the fields you need.
  4. Upload the banner image. This will be displayed in the WhatsApp message. 




  5. Select recipients by clicking on the + icon. The recipients can either be selected manually, by Registration Status, RSVP Status, Virtual Attendance Status, Tags or Custom Field. 



  6. Once the setup is complete, click Send Test Whatsapp to send a test message or Schedule & Send to send the actual message.

Remarks

  1. Each WhatsApp message supports:
    1. 1024 characters for the body
    2. 60 characters for the footer
  2. Please share a WhatsApp message template that suits your messaging habits and brand style with your Project Manager for template setup.
  3. The content provided must comply with WhatsApp's policies as covered here.
  4. The content will need to be reviewed and approved by WhatsApp before you can start using it. This approval process usually takes around 24–48 hours.
